Google API Usage & Compliance
Last updated 2026-11-02
Who runs this site
See What AI Says (short name SeeWAIS) is run by an independent individual operator resident in mainland China. It is not a company and has no business address. Questions about anything on this page go to [email protected], where a person reads them.
Two different things, described separately
The SeeWAIS product analyses the public web: it reports how visible a business is inside AI answers. Buying and using it does not require a Google account, and it does not ask for access to your Google data.
The registered Google API client named "SeeWAIS" is a developer-tools client operated by the same individual. It shares its name with the product but is not a customer-facing feature of it. The client acts on behalf of whoever authorises it; today that is the site's own operator, who uses it to maintain the site's measurement and search infrastructure. If that ever changes, this page is updated first.
What the client may be granted
Depending on which tool is being authorised, the client may be granted access in these categories:
- Google account identity — basic profile fields such as your name, email address and profile picture
- Files stored in Google Drive
- Search Console (webmasters) data
- Google Ads data
These are categories, not promises: a tool states what it needs before you agree, and the definitive list is the one Google shows you on its consent screen at the moment of authorisation. Nothing is requested or stored beyond what that screen lists.
The rules the client follows
Use of data adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain terms:
- Google data is used to provide the feature the account was connected for, and for nothing else.
- It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising or ad targeting.
- No one reads it by hand. The only exception is when you ask for support and a human has to look at the specific data involved to answer you.
- It is not used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
AI and NCII
This site does not generate, distribute or tolerate AI-generated non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII). No Google API, and no AI capability reached through one, is used to create sexual or intimate imagery of real people. Attempting that through this site is outside our acceptable use.
Removing access and deleting data
You can revoke an authorisation at any time from your Google account, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To have the data held on our side deleted as well, write to [email protected] and we delete it. What we collect more generally, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed, are described in our privacy policy.
